I actually wrote the first two panels and then tried to decide where the comic was going. I knew I wanted it to be something other than the direction that the documentation seemed to indicate. Then, I found the idea for library and had to decide whether I wanted to have him asking to check out a book to read while he waited or to look up data on firms he would research. It didn't matter, though, so I chose the one more commonly associated with libraries.
