Down the Gutter

I've had this in my Clarity of Vision backlog since we went bowling a couple of weeks ago. You know someone will invent a lane that can actually analyze your skills and help correct them, or maybe it really will bowl for you.

Clean Sweep

Just my commentary on whichever company advertises their vacuum by picking up a bowling ball. I get what they are saying about the strength of the vacuum created, but it is an odd choice. How many people really need to pick up a bowling ball?

A Taxing Purchase

I did get my tax refund, and it was more than a hamburger's price. I try to cut it pretty close so that I have the money throughout the year, but I missed a little this past year. Still, I must admit it is nice to get some cash.

Standing Room Only

The CoV Team is still meeting? Yes, but they happened to start talking in a hallway. You know how that goes. Suddenly, people are having to walk through your meeting just to pass through the hallway.

Driving Decisions

In IT meetings, we use a lot of specialized lingo that may not translate correctly outside of the environment. Keeping future discussion points on a 'parking lot list' is one of those.

You know me so well that I probably do not need to say what was happening as I wrote this? Did you guess that I was watching the recent miniseries The Bible? Did you also guess that I thought it was hilarious that Noah sounded Scottish? Why did I mention Survivor? The series was created by Mark Burnett, who also created Survivor.

Channeling the Humor

Why, yes. I was watching Celebrity Apprentice while thinking about an idea for today's comic. So, that reminded me of being fired, which made me think that life is like a TV show, which led to the above.

I was looking through my old emails for a Clarity of Vision idea. I suddenly thought of this, but I don't know why. I don't what made me come up with this idea. Then again, maybe it was the number of pills I take that was subconsciously affecting my choice?

Proofreader Requirements

I was reading about proofreading requirements not only for unclear expectations, but also for grammatical errors. I wondered what could happen if we missed something.

Why Des Moines? Why not? I just needed some town name and that came to mind.

It's horrible when you start to lose your memory. I sent myself this idea just this morning, but I have no clue where the idea came from. Radio? Yahoo article? I cannot say.

OK, this is really edgy for me, but someone said that first phrase on TV and I thought about someone misinterpreting it.

I heard someone use the phrase "I'm dating myself" the other day, and that made me think what a child might think if they heard that.

We did have a loaf of Italian bread that had that sticker on it, so this joke came from that experience. No, it didn't get hot for us, ether.

I struggled with the final comment/twist. So, I decided to have him be polite and simply reduce a tip since they stopped him from really eating all he could.

I had this one ready for the day after Easter, but felt like I needed to post one about April Fool's Day. This one could slip out one day easier than yesterday's comic.
