Good Day, Sunshine

It will be a good day on Friday because the grandkids are spending the night.

Bad Blood

As we prepare for Project Manager certification, we recently learned about crashing a project, which means adding additional team members. However, in my simple mind, the word crashing just sounded funny.

Hippity Hoppity

Just a little Easter-themed scenario. It could have happened. It didn't, but it could have.

Scared of the Working Dead?

Why yes. I am watching The Walking Dead as I write this. And yes, I am staffing a project at work right now. How could you tell?

Downward Dog, Anyone?

I was cleaning up my desk the other day and came across some material from when I was certified as a Scrum Master. Of course, that is someone who leads an Agile development effort. Agile, though, has more than one definition.

Mutt in the Mitt

At the baseball game on Thursday, I exclaimed "He really scooped that puppy up" after an exciting ground ball was picked up and thrown to first base for an out. That made me think it sounded like something a granddaughter would say.

From the Mouth of Babes

Yes, this is a quote from one of the granddaughters talking to their Daddy.

Carrying the Load

This is another idea I had back three years ago, but never did anything with. Now, with the new graphics available, it actually makes more sense.

Do Beatles Hide Under Stones?

I occasionally tease my granddaughters with silly statements like, "Who's your favorite group?" and "Beetles are scary though, right?" This is like something we would say to each other.

Drop Me a Letter

I heard a family friend refer to the TV program TMZ as TMJ. From there, my mind made this leap.

The Church is Re-Pope-ified

I was originally thinking to go in the direction of seeing white smoke and someone else saying they really like white smoke. It makes them feel good. However, since I waited several days, I played off his new name.

T-Yes-A? More Like T-No-Way

This is probably the first of at least two comics related to the TSA (inspired courtesy of the recent ruling to allow pocket knives on planes again).

No Birthday Like the Present

No, it's not the birthday of anyone that I know. I just needed a vehicle to talk about getting a severance AND still keeping a job.

Coming Soon...Star Wars XXXI

Hmm. The original cast rejoining a new Star Wars sequel 40 years later. Yeah, that's going to be interesting.

The Strip is in Jeopardy

I am using a Jeopardy game as part of my lesson plan in the PMP Study Group. That got me to thinking about a Jeopardy-themed CoV and this is what came out.

I Owe My Soul...

I thought I had a good idea for a comic today, but I couldn't get it going. So, instead, I wrote about a fight I had with the Help Desk about test software I wanted to install on my machine. They said that just because it is one of my annual goals and it will help me at work is not sufficient justification to give me administrative rights. Wow, really? Is how AI rate you on my satisfaction survey one of your goals? Too bad.

Venn Do You Laugh?

This is another blast from my creative past. This is from June, 2010. It looks like I did a Venn Diagram that day, also, showing how CoV compared to Twilight Zone and Arrested Development and a few other things, including Lost. Got you curious now, don't I?

Guy Talk

I came across an old CoV idea in my email history that suggested "talk later. game's back on." So, this is what today's mind came up with from an idea I wrote down on 1/10/10.

Phabulous Phunnies

I read about a Chinese group phishing for funds and credit information and getting thousands of people responding. What kinds of people actually click into those pages? And even if you did that, why would you enter any actual data? So, I decided to use alliteration in today's CoV. Do you know what alliteration is? You can remember the definition using an alliteration: the same sound in several successive syllables.

Baby's Got Back-Up

A straightforward bit of misunderstanding over what backing something up means.

Who's The New QB?

I thought of this the other day, but had a couple of ideas ahead of it in the queue. I knew I could use it at any time during the papal choice enclave. I wanted to use a photo of the team and draw the speech balloons to individual players, but bitstrips doesn't allow photos.
