It only takes one day of having a cold to realize how vital a clear sinus is for intelligible speech. And it is very easy for the listener to misunderstand a word, which could change the whole conversation.
Are you tired of the debates? I know I am. So, I grabbed a couple of the silly statements floating around and lampooned them. Then, to wrap things up, I decided Romney's hair looked thick and heavy and ripe for making fun of.
I am sure that none of us ever "help" someone else with an ulterior motive, right? No, I don't think I have ever done this, but I am sure that my own desires have played a part in advice I've given.
I had to scour the web sites to find a few points from last night's State of the Union address. I knew what I wanted to cover in the final panel was the mattress tag. The others needed to find which areas Obama still blames Bush for so I could build up the whole comic.
No, I have nothing against a PMP, a Project Management Professional. It is just that, if you pronounce these initials, they sound like the word pimp. And that was enough to lead my mind down the path of making the jobs sound similar. And in panel 4, I tried to end the comic with a clever statement about pimp without the word "I" is PMP.
I am sure you have noticed that we are seeing a lot of short nicknames among the Republican presidential candidates. Outside of them getting even shorter (Yes, I voted for M in the primary), potential candidates simply need nice, short nicknames. However, I agree that these names did not make for 'nice' nicknames.
No, I did not watch the Republican presidential candidate debate last night. I went past it and heard about 30 seconds worth and that was enough. However, I heard enough (and read some this morning) to know that much of the discussion was about the personal elements of their lives instead of how they stand on the issues. So, I decided to make fun of them in today's comic (and a slight dig at the President to balance my insults).
